Galliano & Why MLK is fucking pissed at You.

I know that Galliano hasn't been painted the the best of lights, however his SS2012 collection is brilliant & worth maybe a little more than an exaggerated racial slur, yeah? Fuck it, maybe not, but the line is tight;)

I know it's MLK day and the best and most promulgated way we have come up with to honor this fucking man is to name the most ghetto of streets in his honor. Kind of an oxymoron and shameful; one would think that due to the nature of who are president is, the information available to young people stating exactly how prolific and brave this man was, there would be something more substantial, ongoing and meaningful than an annual gathering in DC or somewhere that held similar sentiment. Sadly, with the 60's died a passion severe and a collectible conscious that may not be seen again, at least not for the powers of good.
White people: I m asking you to not be nice and overly compensating to African Americans today, but how about just treat everybody like gold every fucking day. The concept is a mutual and general respect for everyone you come in contact with. African Americans: You don't have to be so defensive about anything that may be different presented by someone other than familiar to you. Ex: When I stop my vehicle on Memorial Drive & you are walking across the crosswalk, there is nothing about my face that merits the stare down I receive.
Everyone is guilty of it; Mid American Mac & Cheese eaters, myself, everyone. You can't really single out one race of another because we all feel a certain way about certain people, thing etc...
Listen, I get it & you (everyone) have a right to feel how you feel & do what you do, but work on the healing. I m Native American and have absolutely no holidays dedicated to my people, though we all know how fucked THAT is.
If we all collectively began to work on the general conscious of awareness of others and truly see how this is all the same bag of chips, we can begin to all "get it" & stop letting the fear of everything instill the shitstorms that get taken out on everyone else. It starts with one. I know this is very "The More You Know...." but I m over this shit and people are too smart to keep ignoring what we all know and no one says. Take your dignity off the shelf, dust that bitch off and put it back on the clock. XO
